This is (unfortunately) so true! Lost count of how many times something new is implemented and you are just expected to “learn it”.

Yeah, I started a new job a few years ago and was SO confused by everything. There was some documentation, but it was incredibly out of date. I asked my manager to show me somethings and rather than teach me, he would just do it himself (which was probably faster for him, but then I didn't learn)

Great post. I particularly can relate to the AI at work piece, one of my goals this year was so explore how we in marketing can make use of AI in our work. It’s taken time. It was definitely a 20% time task.

For sure. Generative AI (ChatGPT) burst onto the scene *after* I became self-employed, but everything I've learned has taken time. I imagine I'd be very stressed if I were working for an employer that didn't give me time to explore AI and yet I was also expected to understand it, which I think is happening at a lot of companies.
