I loved your framing of the idea economy. I totally agree that skills like judgment and creativity will be the real currency! I work in careers advising and I’m seeing the shift from ‘do more’ to ‘think better’. but honestly… that kind of work burns people out in a different way. The future might not be about clocking hours but it’s still heavy – just more mental than manual. Thank you for sharing!

That's very true. I'm a freelance writer and can only write for a few hours per day because my brain is fried from so much "thinking work." In my version of the ideal world, we all work fewer hours if we only need to work high-value hours, but we'll see what capitalism has to say about that.

I was just thinking the other night, how are parents with kids in high school doing right now? I don't have kids but cannot imagine how to think about AI and investments in your education future. Thanks for sharing your perspective
